We are delighted to share important updates regarding the upcoming Spring Festival schedules for 2027 and 2028. After reviewing feedback from this year’s contests, we have made adjustments to ensure an improved experience for our bands and audiences alike as we continue to build our new home in Birmingham.

2027 Schedule

We have streamlined our venue and ticket arrangements to ensure a smoother experience for all attendees.

• Grand Shield: Saturday 8th May 2027 at the Town Hall, Birmingham.
• Senior Trophy & Senior Cup: Sunday 9th May 2027 at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.

Ticket Update: To simplify your experience at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, a single ticket will now provide full access to both the Senior Trophy and the Senior Cup.

2028 Schedule

To accommodate the logistics of securing both venues for the same weekend, we have moved the 2028 Spring Festival to a slightly later date.

• Senior Trophy & Senior Cup: Saturday 20th May 2028.
• Grand Shield: Sunday 21st May 2028.

Please note: Moving forward, the Senior Trophy and Senior Cup will be permanently held on a Saturday, and the Grand Shield will be permanently held on a Sunday.

Looking Ahead

While our initial move to Birmingham presented challenges, the hard part is now behind us. We are settled and ready to focus on bringing that signature festival atmosphere, known so well from our years in Blackpool, to our new home in Birmingham.

We have carefully reviewed all the feedback shared after this year’s contests and have taken both the positive and constructive comments on board to help shape these improvements.

Thank you for your continued support. We will be in touch with further updates as arrangements progress.
